The History
In 1999 our first expedition was started from the town called Sankt Moritz in Switzerland. This expedition was organized by a sporty and close-knit group of friends. The group of friends was a composition from different world continents. During this expedition, a Dutch manufacturer gave a number of travel bags to test the functionality during the expedition. During this expedition, the members found out that the travel bags were not always conveniently arranged and did not look very stylish. This gave rise to the idea to improve the travel bags according to the need. The members started to develop travel bags with innovative and sustainable materials and a focus on style.
During each subsequent expedition, the group still finds that the available clothing or resources they needed were sometimes insufficiently suited to the activities. For the subsequent products they were inspired by the experiences gained during the expeditions. This kept it not only with travel bags, but also related means that are useful and durable for use during an expedition. Responsible, sustainable clothing with a good fit is especially important for an active life.
They wanted to share the new products with other sporty peers. Due to the great development that the group went through, the group members decided to name their products. This had to be a unique name and characteristic of the expedition it once started with.
With this, the Coolbex brand name was born.

Inspired by our bond of friendship combined with the experiences of our expeditions all over the world. Each campaign and item represent a story from a particular country or expedition that looks ahead to what's to come. Our philosophy enables us to discover the future and look to it optimistically.
